Joey Sleegers
Johannes "Joey" Martinus Sleegers (born 20 July 1994) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left winger for club Eindhoven. Club career Sleegers is a youth exponent from Feyenoord, a club he joined as a 12-year-old from the RKC Waalwijk youth academy. During the 2014–15 season, he played on loan for FC Eindhoven, where he made his professional team debut on 13 September 2014 against Achilles '29. On 25 August 2015, Sleegers signed a three-year contract with NEC, who had been promoted to the Eredivisie in the previous season. He made his Eredivisie debut three days later, when NEC beat Willem II 1–0 after a goal from Navarone Foor. Sleegers started the game, but was substituted off for Gregor Breinburg at half-time. On 26 February 2016, Sleegers scored his first goal for NEC in an away game against SC Heerenveen. During the 2016–17 season, Sleegers was sent on loan to VVV-Venlo. Helmond
Helmond (; called ''Héllemond'' in the local dialect) is a city and municipality in the Metropoolregio Eindhoven of the province of North Brabant in the Southern Netherlands. Willem II (), also known as Willem II Tilburg, is a Dutch football club based in Tilburg, Netherlands. They play in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, following relegation from the Eredivisie in the 2021–22 season. The club was founded on 12 August 1896 as ''Tilburgia''. 2017–18 Slovak First Football League
The 2017–18 Slovak First Football League (known as the Slovak Fortuna Liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 25th season of first-tier football league in Slovakia, since its establishment in 1993. MŠK Žilina were the defending champions, after winning their 7th Slovak championship. Format changes Starting from this season, the competition format was changed. The previous 33-match round robin structure was replaced by a regular stage round of 22 games and a playoff round, where 12 teams are divided into two groups: championship group (top-6 teams after regular stage) and relegation group (bottom 6 teams). Teams A total of 18 teams took part in the league: The best fifteen teams from the 2015–16 season, two promotion/relegation playoff winners and the 2015–16 Eerste Divisie champions. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The UAE Pro League ( ar, دوري المحترفين الإماراتي), known for sponsorship reasons as the ADNOC Pro League, is the top professional football league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first team to win the title was Al Orouba (Sharjah), whilst Al Ain has the record with 14 league titles to their name.
