Joey Porter Jr.
Joseph Eugene Porter Jr. (born July 26, 2000) is an American football cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State and was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft. He is the son of the former NFL linebacker Joey Porter, who the Steelers selected in the 1999 NFL draft. Early life Porter Jr. attended North Catholic High School in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, before transferring to North Allegheny Senior High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania. He played cornerback and wide receiver in high school. He committed to Penn State to play college football. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cranberry Township is a municipality in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The population was 33,096 as of the 2020 census.
