Joey Jett
Joey "Jett" Hornish (born June 19, 1998) is a professional skateboarder. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Mike Vallely named Jett professional in 2017. Jett also started Jett brand clothing in 2019. Career When Jett was 6 years old his mother went to a yard sale and bought her son his first skateboard. Jett skated in national competitions and was invited to skate at the AST Dew Tour in 2006 - 2009. At the age of 7 Jett was on the Dew Sports Tour (Extreme Sports Circuit). Jett was the youngest skateboarder (seven years old) to successfully land a 540 ( 1 ½ rotations in midair) in a skate competition. He was sponsored by Conformist, a Baltimore skateboarding company., Underground Wheels, and Osiris shoes. When Jett was seven years old he was named event MVP of a Philadelphia event by Mike Vallely. Mike Vallely
Mike Vallely ( ), also known as Mike V, is an American professional skateboarder and musician. Since November 2013, he has been the lead vocalist of hardcore punk band Black Flag. Vallely is the second-longest-serving member of the band, although he has not appeared on any albums. Early life Vallely grew up in Edison, New Jersey. He has an older brother, Joe, and a younger sister, Amy. Growing up, Vallely played little league baseball, but, in 1984, aged 14, Vallely discovered skateboarding and punk music, borrowed a skateboard from a friend and proceeded to dedicate his life to skateboarding. At Christmas in 1984, Vallely's parents purchased a Jeff Phillips professional signature model skateboard for him. AST Dew Tour
The Dew Tour is an extreme sports circuit organized by the Adventure Sports Group, a subsidiary of American Media, LLC. History The tour was announced in late 2004, and made its debut in Louisville, KY in June 2005. The tour then made stops in Denver, Portland, Oregon, and San Jose, California, and wrapped up its inaugural season in Orlando, Florida, in October that year. In its first year, the tour was a major success and returned to those five cities in 2006. In 2007, the tour replaced their Louisville, Denver and San Jose stops with events in Baltimore, Cleveland, and Salt Lake City. They did return to Portland and Orlando that year. Brandon Novak
Brandon Thomas Novak (born December 10, 1978) is an American motivational speaker, author, and former professional skateboarder and "CKY crew" member. He also had appearances in the ''Viva La Bam'' reality comedy series and the '' Jackass'' films. Career Professional skateboarding Novak started skateboarding at 7 years old and was soon discovered by Tony Hawk. He was the first skateboarder in the world to be sponsored by Gatorade when he was 14 years old and filmed commercials with Michael Jordan. At this same time, he was a professional skateboarder on the Powell Peralta Team, traveling the country with Bucky Lasek, Bam Margera, Tony Hawk, and others. His substance abuse led to his quitting the team after being discovered by Mike Vallely and Hawk presented him with the option to quit or attend rehab which he chose to quit.
