Joey Gibbs
Joseph "Joey" Arthur Gibbs (born 13 June 1992) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays for Keflavík. Career Gibbs made his senior A-League debut as a substitute for Sydney FC in the 2010 Grand Final against the Melbourne Victory. He was the youngest player to play in an A-League grand final. It was reported that he had signed for Olympic Charleroi in the Belgian Third Division B. After his stint in Belgium, Gibbs returned to Australia where he signed with his former NSW Premier League club Manly United for the 2011 season. He played for the Marconi Stallions in the NSW Premier League for the duration of the 2012 season where he was selected in team of the season and helped Marconi to win the Australian state league grand final. A-League
A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. A-League Men was established in 2004 as the A-League by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a successor to the National Soccer League (NSL) and competition commenced in August 2005. The 2015 National Premier Leagues was the third season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played amongst eight separate divisions, divided by FFA state and territory member federations. 2011 Waratah Cup
The 2011 Waratah Cup was the 9th season of Football NSW's knockout cup competition under the Waratah Cup name. 33 different Associations registered teams into the tournament, including Canberra City FC from the ACT, Wagga Wagga from the Riverina, and three clubs from the Illawarra Region. Entry levels are staggered, with State League Two clubs entering in Round 1, Super League and State League One clubs entering in Round 2, while all NSW Premier League clubs joined in Round 3. Waratah Cup
The Waratah Cup is a knockout cup competition in New South Wales, run by the governing body of football in NSW, Football NSW. Teams competing in the Waratah Cup come from the National Premier Leagues NSW, National Premier Leagues NSW 2, National Premier Leagues NSW 3, National Premier Leagues NSW 4 and numerous other semi professional & amateur association clubs within New South Wales. The Cup is held during the NPL NSW seasons. 2009–10 A-League
The 2009–10 A-League was the 33rd season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the fifth season of the A-League competition since its establishment in 2004. The season marked the addition of two new teams from Queensland. Gold Coast United FC and the North Queensland Fury FC made their A-League debuts at the start of the season. Because of this, Queensland Roar were renamed to Brisbane Roar, as they were no longer the only A-League club from Queensland. With the inception of the two new clubs, many club transfers took place both within Australia and New Zealand, and around the world. Lucas Neill
Lucas Edward Neill (born 9 March 1978) is an Australian former soccer player. Neill played as a defender, often playing as a centre back as well as a full-back. Neill spent almost 15 years of his career playing in England. He represented Australia at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and also the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. The 2012–13 A-League was the 36th season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the eighth season of the Australian A-League since its establishment in 2004. The 2012–13 season saw the introduction of a new Western Sydney-based team, the return of Newcastle Jets FC after their A-League licence was returned by FFA, and the end of Gold Coast United after they were removed from the competition at the end of the previous season.
