Joe Tate (politician)
Joseph Allen Tate (born December 13, 1980) is an American politician and former professional football player from Michigan. Tate has served as a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives from District 2 since 2019 and as Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives since 2023. Early life Tate was born in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest of four children. His father, Coleman Sr., was a Detroit firefighter who died when Tate was an infant. His mother, Debra, was a Detroit public school teacher. Tate spent his early years in the Jefferson Chalmers and Sherwood Forest communities of Detroit. His mother later moved the family to Southfield, Michigan, where Tate attended Southfield-Lathrup High School, graduating in 1999. Big Ten Conference
The Big Ten Conference (stylized B1G, formerly the Western Conference and the Big Nine Conference) is the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the United States. Founded as the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives in 1896, it predates the founding of its regulating organization, the NCAA. It is based in the Chicago area in Rosemont, Illinois. 2022 Michigan House Of Representatives Election
An election will held on November 8, 2022, to elect all 110 members to Michigan's House of Representatives. The election will coincide with elections for other offices, including governor, and U.S. House of Representatives. Background This will be the first election to take place after redistricting based on the 2020 United States census. Following the approval of a voter-initiated constitutional amendment in 2018, the responsibility for legislative and congressional reapportionment was transferred from the state legislature to the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission, a 13-member citizens commission. Grosse Pointe Park is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 11,555 at the 2010 census. Bordering on Detroit with frontage on southern Lake St. Clair, it is the southernmost of the Grosse Pointe suburbs. Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) was the official name used synonymously by the U.S. government for both the War in Afghanistan (2001–2014) and the larger-scale Global War on Terrorism.
