Joe Porter (producer)
Joe Porter is a record producer and songwriter. As a producer, he has produced Thelma Houston, Lynne Randell, Rare Earth, Bobby Darin, O.C. Smith and many others. Porter is also responsible for the orchestral disco version of "Bandstand Boogie" for the television show ''American Bandstand''. He is married to percussionist Bobbye Hall. Career In July 1971, Porter took legal action against the music group Free Movement for breach of contract. This resulted from the group's taking hold of the name which Porter alleged belonged to him and failing to fulfill a songwriting agreement for which he was to get a percentage of their self composed songs. The case was dismissed. He had produced their 1971 song "Ive Found Someone Of My Own". Possibly due to competition with Soul Train, ''American Bandstand'' may have updated their version of "Bandstand Boogie" to a disco version. Blyth Power
Blyth Power are a British rock band formed in 1983 by singer and drummer Joseph Porter, formerly of anarcho-punk bands Zounds and The Mob. The band's music shows strong influences from punk rock and folk music and Porter's lyrics often centre on themes from mythology and history. The band have released more than a dozen studio albums, since 1993 on their own label Downwarde Spiral Records. Career Established in 1983 and named after a railway locomotive, the one constant in an ever-shifting lineup has been drummer, vocalist, and songwriter Joseph Porter (real name Gary Hatcher, born 21 February 1962 in Templecombe, Somerset, England), who formed the band with Curtis Youé, another former member of anarcho-punk band The Mob. Joey Porter
Joseph Eugene Porter (born March 22, 1977) is an American former football outside linebacker who played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), and is a former outside linebackers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After playing college football at Colorado State, he was drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Porter won Super Bowl XL with the Steelers over the Seattle Seahawks. He played for the Miami Dolphins from 2007 to 2009 and the Arizona Cardinals from 2010 to 2011. Early years Porter's prep career took place at Foothill High School in Bakersfield, California. He was a two-time All-Conference selection as wide receiver and running back for the Trojans. Joseph James Porter (born 5 May 1980) is an English cricketer. Porter is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Hammersmith, London. Porter made his first-class debut for Oxford University against Somerset in 2000. From 2000 to 2002, he represented the University in 9 first-class matches, the last of which came against Northamptonshire. His final first-class match came for a British Universities team against the touring Sri Lankans. Joseph Issac Porter (born November 27, 1985) is a former American football cornerback. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Rutgers. Born in Summit, New Jersey, Porter grew up in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey and played high school football at Franklin High School. Porter has also played for the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Locomotives, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders. Oakland Raiders Porter signed with the Oakland Raiders on January 4, 2011. ''Hollywood Pinafore, or The Lad Who Loved a Salary'' is a musical comedy in two acts by George S. Kaufman, with music by Arthur Sullivan, based on Gilbert and Sullivan's ''H.M.S. Pinafore''. The work premiered on May 8, 1945, at Ford's Grand Opera House in Baltimore for tryouts. It opened on Broadway at the Alvin Theatre on May 31, 1945, and closed on July 14, 1945, after 52 performances. It was directed by Kaufman and starred Annamary Dickey as Brenda Blossom, Shirley Booth as Louhedda Hopsons, Victor Moore as Joseph W.
