Joe O'Brien (born November 6, 1972) is an American football coach and former lineman. He is the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for Montana State University–Northern, positions he has held since 2022. He also played in the WLAF, AFL, and the NFL from 1995 to 1998. Joseph O'Brien (27 December 1875 – after 1906) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a full back in the Football League for Blackburn Rovers, in the Northern League for Aberdeen, and in the Southern League for Reading, Swindon Town and Brighton & Hove Albion. While a Reading player, he was selected for the Southern League representative XI. Life and career O'Brien was born in Shettleston, Lanarkshire, in 1875. He played football for Baillieston Thistle, Clitheroe and Sheffield before signing for Southern League club Reading in 1896. He earned a "big reputation" with Reading, was selected for the Southern League representative XI to face the London Football Association, London Association in 1899, and signed for Football League First Division club Blackburn Rovers in April 1900. Joe O'Brien (politician)
Joe O'Brien is an Irish Green Party politician who has served as a Minister of State since July 2020. He has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Fingal constituency since 2019. Background O'Brien was born in Cork, but is a native of Grenagh, County Cork. O'Brien graduated from University College Cork with a degree in French and Economics. After his studies, he moved to Dublin, where he became an advocate for inclusion and migrant rights. He has worked for the Immigrant Council of Ireland as well as Crosscare, which is one of the largest providers of services to the homeless in Dublin city. As of 2022, O'Brien was living in Skerries with his wife and three children.
