Joe McBride (footballer, Born 1938)
Joe McBride (10 June 1938 – 11 July 2012) was a Scottish footballer who played for clubs including Celtic, Hibernian, Motherwell and Dunfermline Athletic. He was a prolific striker and has the third highest tally of goals in the Scottish league since football resumed after the Second World War. McBride also represented both Scotland and the Scottish League. Career McBride was born in Govan, just 200 yards from Ibrox Park, the home of Rangers. He attended St. Gerard's RC Secondary, Govan and was a prolific goalscorer for their teams (where he played alongside future banker and football chairman Brian Quinn). He signed for Kilmarnock when he was 15, and was loaned out to Junior sides Shettleston and Kirkintilloch Rob Roy. Joseph McBride (born 7 August 1960) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played for several clubs, including Everton, Rotherham United, Hibernian, and Dundee. McBride's father, also named Joe, was a prolific goalscorer during the 1960s.Jeffrey, pp103-104 Playing career Born in Glasgow, McBride junior started his career with Everton in the late 1970s, and he scored on his debut for the club, against Bolton. After spells with Rotherham and Oldham, McBride signed for Hibernian in 1985. McBride's new manager was John Blackley, who had played with McBride's father for Hibs during the late 1960s and early 1970s. His most significant contribution for Hibs was scoring two goals in an Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle. McBride subsequently had spells with Dundee, East Fife, Albion Rovers, Livingston and Hamilton. Joseph McBride (born August 9, 1947) is an American film historian, biographer, screenwriter, author and educator. He has written numerous books including biographies of notable film directors, a book on screenwriting, an investigative journalism book on the JFK assassination, and a memoir of the dark years in his life. He also serves as professor in the Cinema Department at San Francisco State University. Career Early life and career Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, McBride grew up in the suburb of Wauwatosa. Joseph Macay McBride (born October 24, 1982) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers. Career High school McBride attended Screven County High School in Sylvania, Georgia, and made his mark as a power pitcher with a fastball in the low 90s. As a high school junior he led the all-state Team Georgia to victory in the annual Sunbelt Classic and was named the tournament's most valuable player (MVP). In his final season (2001) McBride went 11–2 and notched 161 strikeouts. The ''Augusta Chronicle'' named McBride to its all-area team every year, and considered McBride "one of the state's most dominant pitchers." Bake McBride
Arnold Ray McBride (born February 3, 1949), nicknamed "Shake 'n Bake" and "The Callaway Kid", is an American former professional baseball outfielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cleveland Indians between 1973 and 1983. He had the most success with the Phillies teams of the late 1970s and early 1980s. After attending Fulton High School and Westminster College in Missouri, McBride debuted for the Cardinals in 1973. He was the 1974 National League Rookie of the Year, and subsequently represented the National League (NL) in the 1976 MLB All-Star Game.
