Joe Crummey
Joe Crummey is a conservative American talk show host. He hosted a local political talk show on WABC radio in New York City, in the 10 a.m. to noon slot between the syndicated Imus in the Morning and Rush Limbaugh programs, from October 11, 2010 to December 7, 2011. Geraldo Rivera took over Crummey's 10 a.m. slot effective January 3, 2012, with regular WABC fill-in hosts Bernard McGuirk and Mark Simone substituting in the interim. Earlier in his career, Crummey was a disc jockey at New York's WNBC and WAPP (where he briefly partnered on-air with Mark McEwen) in the 1980s, before moving to talk radio at stations in the West. For a brief era at KFI, he made use of a filtered mic to act if he were debating himself, where "Evil Joe" would take immoral or illogical positions to issues of the day. Imus In The Morning
''Imus in the Morning'' was a long-running radio show hosted by Don Imus. The show originated on June 2, 1968, on various stations in the Western United States and Cleveland, Ohio before settling on WNBC radio in New York City in 1971. In October 1988, the show moved to WFAN when that station took over WNBC's dial position following an ownership change. It was later syndicated to 60 other stations across the country by Westwood One, a division of CBS Radio, airing weekdays from 5:30 to 10 am Eastern time. Beginning September 3, 1996, the 6 to 9 am portion was simulcast on the cable television network MSNBC. Since its nationally syndicated premiere in 1988, ''The Rush Limbaugh Show'' became the highest-rated talk radio show in the United States. At its peak, the show aired on over 650 radio stations nationwide. Unbeknownst at the time, Limbaugh hosted the show for the last time on February 2, 2021.
