Joe Chill
Joe Chill is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman. Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, the character first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #33 (November 1939). In Batman's origin story, Joe Chill is the mugger who murders young Bruce Wayne's parents, Dr. Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne. The murder traumatizes Bruce, inspiring his vow to avenge their deaths by fighting crime in Gotham City as the vigilante Batman. Three Jokers
''Batman: Three Jokers'' is an American comic book limited series published by DC Comics. It is a spiritual successor to '' Batman: The Killing Joke'' and '' Batman: A Death in the Family''. The three-issue storyline was written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson, began in August and concluded in October 2020. In ''Three Jokers'', Batman, Batgirl and Red Hood follow a lead on the Joker, who appears to have been three different men all along. The ''Three Jokers'' storyline was published under DC Black Label, an imprint allowing writers to present unique takes on DC characters for a mature audience. Reaper (DC Comics)
Reaper is the name of three characters in the DC Comics universe. Publication history The Pre-''Crisis'' Reaper debuted in ''Batman'' #237 (Dec. 1971) and was created by Denny O'Neil. The character was inspired by science-fiction writer Harlan Ellison suggesting to O'Neill that he writes a story about Nazi war criminals. Created by writer Mike W. Barr, and designed by artist Alan Davis, the Judson Caspian version of the Reaper first appeared in '' Detective Comics'' #575 (June 1987), the first part of the four-part '' Batman: Year Two'' storyline. After the changes in DC continuity that '' Zero Hour'' established, ''Year Two'', Joe Chill's death and the Reaper have been wiped out. Chill was back in continuity after 2005's ''Infinite Crisis''. Gaspar Saladino (September 1, 1927 – August 4, 2016) was an American letterer and logo designer who worked for more than sixty years in the comic book industry, mostly for DC Comics. Eventually Saladino went by one name, "Gaspar," which he wrote in his trademark calligraphy.
