Jochen Schropp
Jochen Alexander Schropp (born 22 November 1978 in Lahn, Hesse, Lahn-Giessen, Hesse) is a German actor and television host. Biography Schropp was born in 1978 as the child of a teacher and a medical assistant in the former municipality of Gießen in the city of Lahn. After his high school year in Visalia, California, where Schropp gained his first acting experience, he played at the American theater in Giessen. In addition, he also worked as a small actor, extras and in advertising and began training as a vocalist and speaker at the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. After graduating from high school at the Weidigschule in Butzbach, Schropp did his community service in a dialysis center in Giessen. After a musical workshop in Hamburg, he studied at Paul McCartney, Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in the United Kingdom for two and a half years. Lahn, Hesse
Lahn was a district-free city in the state of Hesse, which was created on January 1, 1977 during the Hessian administrative reform when the two cities of Gießen and Wetzlar were merged. It was named after the river Lahn to make the merger one of equals. However, as the merger was very unpopular as well as inefficient—it had been imposed on the cities against the will of almost all inhabitants—it was rescinded on July 31, 1979; so the city Lahn only existed for two and a half years. The creation of the city was supported by the Minister-President of Hesse Albert Osswald, who had been the Lord Mayor of Gießen from 1957 to 1963 and saw the new city as "work of the century" (''Jahrhundertwerk''), believing that it would strengthen central Hesse against the two major population center of Kassel in the north and Frankfurt in the south of the state. ''Big Brother 2020'', also known as ''Big Brother 13'' and known specifically as ''Big Brother 20'', was the thirteenth season of the German reality television series '' Big Brother''. The show returned after a five-year hiatus and began airing on 10 February 2020 on Sat.1 and ended after 99 days on 18 May 2020, twenty years after the first season aired. ''Promi Big Brother'' is a German television reality show based on the Dutch show '' Big Brother'', created by producer John de Mol in 1997, which is airing from 2013. The show followed a number of celebrity contestants, known as Promis (lit. ''Celebrities''), who were isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom-built Set. Ilka Bessin (born 18 November 1971) is a German comedian and actress, best known for her role as Cindy aus Marzahn (German for "Cindy from Marzahn"). Early life Ilka Bessin was born in Luckenwalde, East Germany. After finishing school, she studied culinary arts and later trained to be a hotel manager. She worked as a chef until the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, and Germany was reunified. After that she became a bartender and a discothèque manager. ''X Factor'' is the German version of '' The X Factor'', a show originating from the United Kingdom. It is a television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. The show's inaugural German season started in August 2010. RTL broadcast the first two kick-off shows. The other episodes have been shown on VOX. Both channels are part of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland. The seasons 1-3 of X Factor were produced by Grundy Light Entertainment, another RTL Group company. Season 4 is produced by UFA Show & Factual by Sky. ''Polizeiruf 110'' ("Police call 110") is a long-running German-language detective television series likened to Poirot. The name links to the emergency telephone number of the ''Volkspolizei''. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany.
