Jochen Rückert, spelled on most releases as Jochen Rueckert (born 13 May 1975 in Cologne, Germany) is a German jazz drummer. He is a naturalized American citizen and has resided in New York City since 1997. The brother of pianist Thomas Rückert, he began to practice drums at the age of six. He can be heard on over 120 albums and worked or recorded with musicians and bands such as the Marc Copland Trio, Nils Wogram & Root 70, the Kurt Rosenwinkel new quartet, the Mark Turner Band, the Melissa Aldana trio, the Sam Yahel trio, John Abercrombie, Ignaz Dinné, Pat Metheny, Matt Penman, Kenny Werner, Till Brönner, Joachim Kühn, Bill McHenry, John McNeil, Anke Helfrich, Ron Carter, the NDR, WDR and Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos Big Bands, Seamus Blake, Guillermo Klein and Los Guachos as well as Madeleine Peyroux. Ben Monder
Ben Monder (born May 24, 1962) is an American modern jazz guitarist. Biography Monder started playing guitar when he was eleven, after two years on violin. From 1979–84, he attended the Westchester Conservatory of Music, the University of Miami, and Queens College. One of his early jobs was in 1986 when he performed with Jack McDuff. In 1995 he recorded his debut album, ''Flux'', featuring drummer Jim Black and bassist Drew Gress. This was followed by the trio recording Dust (1996) and the quartet recording Excavation (2000) which added vocalist Theo Bleckmann. ''Bloom'', a 2001 recording (an improvisation recorded in a single day) with saxophone player Bill McHenry, wasn't released until 2010. Hayden Chisholm
Hayden Chisholm (born 27 May 1975) is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist from New Zealand. He performs jazz, improvised music, and contemporary classical music. Life and career Chisholm was raised in New Plymouth, New Zealand, by parents Heather and Doug Chisholm. His first musical experiences came with local Dixieland bands. He began playing clarinet at age nine before switching to what became his primary instrument, the alto saxophone, two years later. The early influences of Johnny Hodges, Sun Ra, Eric Dolphy were strong, being his first jazz records. He was a member of the award-winning New Plymouth Boys' High School Jazz band and won the prize for Most Outstanding Jazz Musician at the National Jazz Festival in Tauranga, 1991. Biography Cricket Orlando le Fleming made his county debut for Devon in the 1992 Minor Counties Championship against Cheshire. At the age of 15, he was the second youngest player to turn out for Devon. He was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. From 1992 to 1996, he represented Devon in 24 Minor Counties Championship matches, with his final match coming against Shropshire. He also played two List-A matches for Devon, the first of which came in the 1994 NatWest Trophy against Yorkshire, where le Fleming took 2/42. Lage Fosheim Lund (born 12 December 1977) is a Norwegian jazz guitarist. Early life and education Initially aspiring to become a professional skateboarder, Lund began playing guitar at the age of 13. He later founded a jazz trio and performing in local clubs. Lund earned a scholarship he attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he regularly performed at Wally's Cafe. In 2002, Lund was the recipient of a Fulbright Foundation grant, which gave him the opportunity to move to New York City. Guillermo Klein
Guillermo Klein (born 1969) is an Argentine pianist and composer. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1994, and throughout the 1990s held a residency at Smalls, a jazz club in New York City. Known for his highly original harmonic and stylistic concepts, Klein has garnered much respect from the jazz community. He spent most of the 2000s in Argentina and Spain, though he still played in the United States.
