Joaquín Monserrat
Joaquín Monserrat Llarden, known as Pacheco (5 April 1921 - 5 November 1996) was a Spanish comedian and host of children programs. In 1960, he moved to Puerto Rico and he became a popular host of children programs. Biography Joaquín Monserrat was born on 5 April 1921 in Barcelona. In 1951, he moved to Havana, Cuba, where he worked as a comedian for nine years in CMQ Television. It was in Cuba that he met and befriended a local actor named Luis Aguad Jorge, who would later join him many times on Puerto Rican television as ''El enanito Holsum''. In 1960, he moved to Puerto Rico and was hired as a scriptwriter and comedian in the program ''Pacheco, Detective Privado''. In 1962, he was hired by WAPA-TV, creating the children program ''Cine Recreo''. In the program, Monserrat (now known simply as Pacheco) gave the children advice, interviews, and showed cartoons. Rosaura Andreu
Rosaura Andreu (1 January 1918 – 21 November 2010) was an actress born in El Paso, Texas to actress Cecilia Cavero. Andreu is best remembered in Puerto Rico for playing the character "Titi Chagua" in a local television show for children. Cecilia Cavero moved with her children to Havana, where Rosaura Andreu met her first husband: the famous Cuban comedian Leopoldo Fernández (Tres Patines), Leopoldo Fernandez, nicknamed "Tres Patines." Andreu first visited Puerto Rico as part of a Cuban theatrical troupe. Years later she settled on the island and joined the group La farandula bohemia. In the 1950s, Andreu was part of the early years of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican television. She became known to the children television viewers in such programs as Romper Room, Romper Room con Berta and others. Nobel Vega (born August 21, 1930) better known as Tio Nobel (Uncle Nobel) is a Cuban actor and children's television personality. Vega is mostly remembered for his character as a boat captain who appeared on WKAQ-TV's "El Show del Tio Nobel" ("Uncle Nobel's Show"), a daily children's game show he hosted in which children played for prices, usually Mattel branded toys. His show competed with Spaniard Pacheco's "Cine Recreo", shown on WAPA-TV, Telemundo Puerto Rico's rival television station.
