Joanne Brown (born 7 April 1972 in Canberra) is a former softball catcher and outfielder from Australia, who won a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics and 2000 Summer Olympics The 2000 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXVII Olympiad and also known as Sydney 2000 (Dharug: ''Gadigal 2000''), the Millennium Olympic Games or the Games of the New Millennium, was an international multi-sport event held from 1 .... She was inducted into the Softball Australia Hall of Fame in 2004 and the International Softball Federation Hall of Fame in 2005. She played for the UCLA Bruins from 1991 -1993 and was a 1992 NCAA All American playing for the UCLA Bruins who won the 1992 NCAA Softball title. She has played 244 games for the Australian National Softball Team since her debut in 1990.
