Joan Gerber
Joan Gerber (July 29, 1935 – August 22, 2011) was an American voice actress who provided voices for a variety of cartoons. Her most challenging voice role was "all the children in a Japanese train wreck" for a ''Godzilla'' television episode. She voiced Freddy the Flute for ''H.R. Pufnstuf'', which she identified as a favorite role. She also voiced the Queen of Oz in the animated cartoon ''Dorothy in the Land of Oz''. She was described as talented and possessing a "golden throat" and a "splendid singing voice". She also voiced a syndicated series of roughly one-minute radio spots, "The Story Lady," that parodied children's programming. Originally a nickname for girls named Maria in German-speaking populations, Mitzi became a given name in its own right, even outside of Germany. The Barkleys
''The Barkleys'' is an American animated television series that aired in Autumn of 1972 on NBC and was produced by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. Premise The cartoon – inspired by the CBS sitcom ''All in the Family'' – featured an anthropomorphic dog family consisting of Arnie, a bus driver (voiced by Henry Corden) and his wife Agnes (voiced by Joan Gerber). They had two teenagers, Terry and Roger (voiced by Julie McWhirter and Steve Lewis respectively) and one younger child, Chester (voiced by Gene Andrusco). The theme song's lyrics ended with the advice "Just remember Arnie Barkley's bark is worse than his bite." Doug Goodwin's theme song used part of "(Be It Ever So Humble) There's No Place Like Home". ''Bury Me an Angel'' is a 1971 American biker film from female director Barbara Peeters, who was script supervisor on ''Angels Die Hard'' (1970). She was the first woman to direct a biker film. The film was acquired by Roger Corman's New World Pictures. Plot A female biker ( Dixie Peabody) seeks to avenge the death of her brother. Production Barbara Peeters first conceived the idea for the film when, while working on Richard Compton's biker drama ''Angels Die Hard'', supporting player Rita Murray told her she was looking to produce films of her own. Peeters invented the plot on the spot, and rush-wrote a first draft to present to Murray and her investors days later. Beach Dickerson has a small role and helped produce the movie, which was shot on location in California. The script's original title was ''The Hunt''. ''Help!'' is the fifth studio album by the English Rock music, rock band the Beatles and the soundtrack to their Help! (film), film of the same name. It was released on 6 August 1965. ''Lidsville'' is Sid and Marty Krofft's third television show following ''H.R. Pufnstuf'' (1969) and ''The Bugaloos'' (1970). As did its predecessors, the series combined two types of characters: conventional actors in makeup taped alongside performers in full mascot costumes, whose voices were dubbed in post-production. Seventeen episodes aired on Saturday mornings on ABC for two seasons, 1971–1973. The show was rebroadcast on NBC Saturday mornings the following season. The opening was shot at Six Flags Over Texas.
