Joan Franka
Joan Franka (born 2 April 1990 in Rotterdam) is a Dutch singer with the birthname of Joany Franka Johanna Ayten Hazebroek. Her late father was Turkish, while her mother is Dutch. She represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with You and Me. She became well known in the Netherlands through her participation in the first series of ''The Voice of Holland'', a talent show. Music career 2010-2011: ''The Voice of Holland'' In September 2010, Joan Franka entered the talent show, ''The Voice of Holland'' in its inaugural 2010–2011 season where she auditioned with Nickelback's "How You Remind Me". The Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song " You and Me" written by Joan Franka and Jessica Hogeboom. The song was performed by Joan Franka. The Dutch broadcaster Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS) organised the national final ''Nationaal Songfestival 2012'' in order to select the Dutch entry for the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. Six entries competed in the national final on 26 February 2012 where the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. The first round consisted of three duels and the winner of each duel qualified to the second round. Raffaëla Paton (born 1 June 1983) is a Dutch singer of Surinamese descent and the winner of the 2006 Dutch talent show ''Idols''. Her album '' Change of Heart'' was released in 2014 and '' Mixed Emotions'' in 1999. Biography Early life Craven was born in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), in July 1963, while her British father was working there for Kodak. He later worked as an investment advisor.
