Joakim Borda-Pedreira
Joakim Waskar Olañeta Borda-Pedreira (born in 1977 in Malmö) is a Swedish-Bolivian art historian, art critic and curator naturalised in Norway. He grew up in Lund and studied law, philosophy and art history at Lund University, Goldsmith's college, London, and Oslo University, specialising in European Modernism and Spanish Colonial Art. He was Art Editor of Plaza Magazine (2007-2011), Stockholm, and is the Founding Director oThe Boiler Room Galleryin Oslo. Between 2012 and 2015 he was Head Curator of The Arts Festival of North Norway. He has since been Director of several art institutions in Norway, such as the Association of Art Centres in Norway (KIN) anGallery Format Oslo Since 2018 he has been Director of RAM Gallery in Oslo. Art history is the study of aesthetic objects and visual expression in historical and stylistic context. Pedro Antonio Olañeta
Pedro Antonio de Olañeta y Marquiegui (1774 in Elgueta, Gipuzkoa, Spain – April 2, 1825 in Tumusla, Potosí Department, Bolivia) was a Royalist commander in the army of the Spanish Empire who fought against the South American insurgency led by Simón Bolívar. His support for Spanish absolutism and rebellion against the moderate Royalists created conflicts within the Royalist army that aided the rebels. After the defeat of the main Royalist armies, he continued the resistance, becoming one of the last Royalist commanders to hold out. Olañeta was the last Viceroy of the Río de la Plata. Early life Olañeta was born in a small mountain village in the Biscay province, Spain. Knut Ljøgodt
Knut Ljøgodt '' knʉt jøɡɔt'' (born 1968 in Ullensaker) is a Norwegian art historian. He was museum director of The Northern Norway Art Museum in Tromsø between 2008-2016 and founding director of Kunsthall Svalbard in Longyearbyen since 2015. In the past he held curatorial positions in The National Museum, Oslo, The Munch Museum and Blaafarveverket. Ljøgodt holds a cand.philol. degree from University of Oslo and a Dr. Philos. from University of Tromsø. He also studied at Courtauld Institute of Art in London and the University of Oslo's Norwegian Institute in Rome. Amongst Ljøgodt's speciality fields are Scandinavian and European art from the 1800s, as well as modern Norwegian art. An art critic is a person who is specialized in analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating art. Their written critiques or reviews contribute to art criticism and they are published in newspapers, magazines, books, exhibition brochures, and catalogues and on websites.
