Joachim Victor Birkeland Kjelsaas von Kwetzinsky-Stetzenkow (born 8 April 1978), known as Joachim Kwetzinsky, is a Norwegian pianist. Marcus Nicolay Paus (; born 14 October 1979) is a Norwegian composer and one of the most performed contemporary Scandinavian composers. As a classical contemporary composer he is noted as a representative of a reorientation toward tradition, tonality and melody, and his works have been lauded by critics in Norway and abroad. Robert Levin (6 June 191229 October 1996) was a Norway, Norwegian european classical music, classical pianist and composer. Although he was an accomplished solo pianist and composer, Levin received international acclaim for his work as an Accompaniment, accompanist with several of the world's most celebrated vocal and instrumental performers. Background Levin was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He grew up in the immigrant neighborhood in Grünerløkka, the child of David Levin (1882–1936) and Marie Scheer (1885–1954). Both were Jewish refugees from Lithuania who had immigrated in 1905. Levin's father supported his family through various means, including peddling sewing Notion (accessory), notions and carting coal. Jiri Hlinka
Jiri Hlinka ( cs, Jiří Hlinka; born 1944) is a Norway, Norwegian professor and piano teacher of Czech Republic, Czech origin. His most well-known student is Leif Ove Andsnes. Career Hlinka was born in Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and was a student of Frantisek Rauch and Joseph Paleniček at the Prague Academy of Music. He started giving concerts in 1966 and reached the finals of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow the same year. He recorded Sergei Prokofiev's piano sonatas 2 and 6 for Supraphon in 1967. The album was released in Norway in 1998. In 1970, he was forced to give up his soloist career for medical reasons and has since worked as a piano pedagogue. In 1972, he moved to Norway, obtaining Norwegian citizenship in 1982. He has taught at conservatories in Bergen and Oslo and regularly gives international master classes. Among his students are Leif Ove Andsnes, Håvard Gimse and Geir Botnen.
