Jo Ann Prentice
Jo Ann Prentice (born February 9, 1933) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Prentice was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She turned professional in 1956. Prentice joined the LPGA tour in 1957 and won six times between 1965 and 1974. Prentice was elected to the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1991, and is one of only eight golfers in it. The Lady Errol Classic was a golf tournament on the LPGA Tour from 1972 to 1974.LPGA Tournament Chronology 1970-1979
It was founded by Joan Majors with help from her neighbor Martha Rayborn. Majors lived in Winter Park, Florida with her husband John, and three children, Kathy, Diana and Gary. The golf tournament was played at the Errol Estates Country Club in . When Majors' husband was transferred to Columbia, South Carolina, she was unable to direct the tournament and it ceased to continue.

The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Founded in 1972 by singer and actress Dinah Shore and Colgate-Palmolive chairman David Foster, it was played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California from its inception through 2022. In 2023, the championship will be played in The Woodlands, Texas for the first time at The Club at Carlton Woods - Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Laura Zonetta Baugh (born May 31, 1955) is an American professional golfer, who played the LPGA Tour for 25 years. She is a published writer and golf broadcaster. Early life Baugh was born in Gainesville, Florida. Her father Hale Baugh, a lawyer who competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics as a modern pentathlete, was a very good amateur golfer, who introduced his children to golf at early ages. She won the National PeeWee Golf Championship five times, her first coming at age three. Her parents divorced when she was 11 years old, and she moved with her mother from their Florida home to Long Beach, California. Sandra Jane Haynie (born June 4, 1943) is an American former professional golfer on the LPGA Tour starting in 1961. She won four major championships, 42 LPGA Tour career events, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Amateur career Haynie was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She won the 1957-58 Texas State Publinx and the 1958-59 Texas Amateur. She also captured the 1960 Trans-Mississippi title. Professional career Haynie joined the LPGA Tour in 1961 at the age of 18 and she achieved her first professional title championship in 1962 at age 19 at the Austin Civitan Open. Barbara Jane Blalock (born September 19, 1945) is an American business executive and retired professional golfer. After winning several New England golf tournaments in her youth, Blalock joined the LPGA Tour as a professional in 1969, being named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 1969 and Most Improved Golfer in 1970 and 1971. She won the historically notable Dinah Shore Colgate Winner's Circle in 1972, earning "the richest prize in women's golf history."
