JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (OVA)
is an original video animation adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's manga series of the same name. Produced by A.P.P.P. (Another Push Pin Planning), it was adapted from the series' third part, '' Stardust Crusaders''. Plot Set in 1987, the series follows Jotaro Kujo and his comrades who have developed mysterious powers known as Stands. Jotaro, his grandfather Joseph Joestar and their allies travel to Egypt in search of the evil and immortal vampire Dio Brando, now known solely as "DIO" to save Jotaro's mother Holly, whose Stand has awakened and threatens to consume her in 50 days. Meanwhile, DIO has commissioned a number of assassins with various types of deadly Stands to destroy them before they can reach him. Hiroyuki Kitakubo
is a Japanese director, animator, and screenwriter. Kitakubo began work in the anime industry as a teenager, having worked on the 1979 ''Mobile Suit Gundam'' television series. He debuted as a director with the ''Cream Lemon'' episode "Pop Chaser" in 1985, then worked on films including ''Black Magic M-66'' with Masamune Shirow and '' Akira'' with Katsuhiro Otomo. Kitakubo went on to direct the "A Tale of Two Robots" segment from ''Robot Carnival'', the original video animation (OVA) series '' Golden Boy'', and the films ''Roujin Z'' and '' Blood: The Last Vampire''. Joseph Joestar
is a fictional character in the Japanese manga series ''JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'', written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. Joseph is the main protagonist of the series' second story arc, ''Battle Tendency'', and the grandson of the first arc's protagonist, Jonathan Joestar. Having been brought up by his grandmother Erina and family friend Speedwagon, he developed a coarser and more rebellious attitude than that of his gentlemanly grandfather, but the character still has a noble heart.
