James Thomas Jr. (August 17, 1947 – June 6, 2017) was a professional American football running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played five seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. The ''Fort Worth Star-Telegram'' is an American daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. It is owned by The McClatchy Company. History In May 1905, Amon G. Carter accepted a job as an advertising space salesman in Fort Worth. A few months later, he agreed to help finance and run a new newspaper in town. The ''Fort Worth Star'' printed its first newspaper on February 1, 1906, with Carter as the advertising manager. Malcolm "Mike" Thomas (July 17, 1953 – August 23, 2019) was an American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons with the Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers. He was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in . American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves.
