Jimmy McGrath
James McGrath (4 March 1907 – 17 October 1950) was an English Association football, footballer. A speedy and crafty player, he played at left-half and on the right-wing. He began his career in 1928 at Cardiff City F.C., Cardiff City, before switching to Port Vale F.C., Port Vale in May 1932. He was transferred to Notts County F.C., Notts County in June 1934, and later moved on to Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C., Bradford Park Avenue. Career McGrath played for Washington Colliery, before joining Cardiff City F.C., Cardiff City in 1928. The "Bluebirds" suffered relegation out of the Football League First Division, First Division following a last place finish in 1928–29 Football League, 1928–29. They posted an eighth-place finish in the Football League Second Division, Second Division in 1929–30 Football League, 1929–30, before suffering another relegation in 1930–31 Football League, 1930–31 with another last place finish. Washington, Tyne And Wear
Washington is a town in the City of Sunderland district of Tyne and Wear, England. Historically part of County Durham, it is the ancestral settlement of the Washington family, which George Washington descended from. It is located between Chester-le-Street, Gateshead and Sunderland. Washington was designated a new town in 1964 and became part of the Borough of Sunderland in 1974, the borough became a city in 1992. It has expanded dramatically since its designation, by new villages created and reassignment of areas from Chester-le-Street, to house overspill from surrounding cities.
