James Blacklock Henderson
Sir James Blacklock Henderson GCVO (5 March 1871 – 7 April 1950) was a Scottish inventor, naval architect, and professor of applied mechanics. Born the eldest son of James Henderson, headmaster of Whitehall School, Glasgow, James B. Henderson was educated by his father and at Allan Glen's School in Glasgow and then at the University of Glasgow and the University of Berlin. From 1894 to 1898, he was a lecturer in physics at Yorkshire College, Leeds. From 1898 to 1901, he was head of the scientific department at Barr and Stroud, Glasgow. In 1898, he married Annie Margaret Henderson. From 1901 to 1905, he was a lecturer on electrical engineering and a university assistant in engineering at Glasgow University. In 1905, he was appointed a Professor of Applied Mechanics at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich. James Henderson (publisher)
James Henderson (26 November 1823 – 24 February 1906) was a British newspaper and magazine proprietor and publisher, who was influential in developing the popular press and comics in Britain. He established James Henderson & Sons Ltd, which published many newspapers and magazines as well as books and postcards. Biography Henderson was born in Laurencekirk, near Montrose in Scotland. After working for his father, a saddle maker, he took a post with the local newspaper, the ''Montrose Standard''. He then moved to Glasgow where he worked on the '' North British Daily Mail'' and for a publishing company, before setting up his own business. In 1855, he launched the ''Glasgow Daily News'', the first daily penny newspaper in Britain, and ''The Weekly News and General Advertiser''. However, neither succeeded for long, and his business collapsed.

James Henderson (28 January 1820 – 19 April 1905) was a Scots-born Presbyterian minister in Victoria and South Australia who was twice removed from his church after allegations of misconduct. History Henderson was born in Scotland and was educated at Glasgow University. In 1850 he took charge of the United Presbyterian Church at Duntocher, and after eight years there accepted a call to the Ryrie Street Presbyterian Church at Geelong, Victoria. He arrived aboard ''Lightning'' in Australia in March 1859, and was inducted on 17 May. The Hendersons were well accepted by the community and Rev. Henderson held various responsible positions including Moderator of the Victorian Assembly, examiner at the Central Grammar School and member of the Orphan Asylum board, Geelong Hospital and Mechanics' Institute. James Brodie Henderson (born 30 December 1964) is an English businessman working in the public relations sector. He founded a successful financial PR firm which merged with a Bell Pottinger company in 2010. William James Henderson is a Scottish former professional footballer. After playing for local amateur side Penicuik Athletic, Henderson attended a trial with Newcastle United. Although unsuccessful, he was instead recommended to Third Division South side Cardiff City by Jimmy Nelson, a Newcastle player who had previously been with Cardiff. He scored on his debut during a 2–1 victory over Aldershot on 4 February 1933. Despite the club's struggles, Henderson finished the season with twelve league goals from sixteen matches, including five during a 6–0 victory over Northampton Town. James Woodrow "Skip" Henderson Jr. (born September 27, 1965) is an American former basketball player known for his collegiate career at Marshall University between 1984–85 and 1987–88. Henderson, a 6'2" point guard, established himself as one of the premier players to ever play in the Southern Conference (SoCon), amassing a conference-record 2,574 points (eventually broken by Davidson's Stephen Curry 21 years later); this total is second on Marshall's all-time record behind Jon Elmore's 2,636 points.
