Jimitota Onoyume
Jimitota Onoyume is a prominent Nigerian journalist who is currently the Vanguard newspaper correspondent in Rivers State. A resident of Port Harcourt, Onoyume's reports are mostly major news and exclusive storylines. Personal life Family abduction On 12 November 2012, Marian, the teacher wife of Onoyume and her two children were kidnapped by gunmen in Ethiope-East. A sum of N10 million was demanded, although Onoyume managed to negotiate down the amount. On 15 November, Marian and her two young daughters were reportedly released unharmed following a ransom payment made by her husband. Vanguard (Nigeria)
''Vanguard'' is a daily newspaper published by Vanguard Media, based in Lagos, Nigeria. Vanguard Media was established in 1984 by veteran journalist Sam Amuka-Pemu with three friends. Rivers State
Rivers State, also known as Rivers, is a state in the Niger Delta region of southern Nigeria (Old Eastern Region). The Local Government Area of Ethiope East is located in the center of Delta State, Nigeria . Although it is not directly adjacent to Asagba, Asamagidi, Orerokpe, Ovwori, Orhokpokpor, Eruemukohwarien, Ekrokpe, Ughelli, or Agbasa, these places are nearby. Asaba, Delta
Asaba is the capital city of Delta State, Nigeria. It is located at the western bank of the Niger River, in the Oshimili South Local Government Area. Asaba had a population of 149,603 as at the 2006 census, and a metropolitan population of over half a million people. Asaba is well known for social activities and amenities such as hotels, clubs, cinemas, malls, event centre, etc. It holds a yearly program named Delta Yaddah which always hosts a series of gospel singers among others. The city of Warri is an oil hub within South-South Nigeria and houses an annex of the Delta State Government House. Warri City is one of the major hubs of the petroleum industry in Nigeria.
