Jim Zehringer
Jim Zehringer (born October 16, 1952) is the former Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Department of Agriculture, who served in the cabinet of Ohio Governor John Kasich from 2011 to 2019. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011, and as a Mercer County Commissioner from 2002 to 2007. He is a retired politician and farmer. Zehringer is a graduate of Fort Recovery High School, and calls Fort Recovery home. A former owner of Meiring Poultry and Fish farm, Zehringer has made a career out of agriculture. While in elected office, much of his agenda focused greatly on agricultural efforts, and for a time, he served as ranking minority member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. Keith Faber
Keith Faber is an American politician from Ohio. A Republican, he has been State Auditor of Ohio in 2019. He was formerly a member of the Ohio House of Representatives (2001-2007), elected from the 84th district, and then a member of the Ohio State Senate (2007-2016), elected from the 12th District. He was president of the Ohio Senate from 2013 to 2016. Life and career With incumbent Jim Buchy unable to run for another term in the House in 2000, Faber sought to replace him. He faced a primary race with fellow Republican Terry Haworth, and won by about 1,300 votes. He defeated Democrat Bill Sell in the general election by about 14,000 votes. James J. Buchy (born September 24, 1940) is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He served two stints in the House, first from 1983 to 2000, and again from 2011 to 2016. Life and career A graduate of Wittenberg University, Buchy is the former President and CEO of Buchy Food Service in Greenville. Buchy served as Assistant Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture and with the National Federation of Independent Business. John Kasich
John Richard Kasich Jr. ( ; born May 13, 1952) is an American politician, author, and television news host who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1983 to 2001 and as the 69th governor of Ohio from 2011 to 2019. The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. Mercer County, Ohio
Mercer County is located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,528. Its county seat is Celina. The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1824. It is named for Hugh Mercer, an officer in the American Revolutionary War.
