Jim Wilson (comics)
James Wilson is a fictional character, a supporting character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a supporting character of the Hulk. He was portrayed by P.J. Kerr in a cameo in the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe film ''The Incredible Hulk''. Publication history Created by Roy Thomas and Herb Trimpe, the character made his first appearance in ''The Incredible Hulk'' (vol. 2) #131 (September 1970) as an angry young man who befriends the Hulk. During the late 1970s, he became a regular supporting character of the series, usually appearing as a friend of Bruce Banner. He was a replacement for the comic's original teen sidekick, Rick Jones, who had moved to '' Captain Marvel''. In ''The Incredible Hulk'' #232 (February 1979), it is revealed that Jim Wilson is the nephew of Sam Wilson, the superhero Falcon. ''The Incredible Hulk'' is an ongoing comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero the Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner. First published in May 1962, the series ran for six issues before it was cancelled in March 1963, and the Hulk character began appearing in ''Tales to Astonish''. With issue #102, ''Tales to Astonish'' was renamed to ''The Incredible Hulk'' in April 1968, becoming its second volume. The series continued to run until issue #474 in March 1999 when it was replaced with the series ''Hulk'' which ran until February 2000 and was retitled to ''The Incredible Hulk''s third volume, running until March 2007 when it became ''The Incredible Hercules'' with a new title character. Falcon (Samuel Thomas "Sam" Wilson) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was introduced by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan in ''Captain America (comic book), Captain America'' #117 (Sept. 1969), and was the first Black American superhero in mainstream comic books. ''Pneumocystis'' pneumonia (PCP), also known as ''Pneumocystis jirovecii'' pneumonia (PJP), is a form of pneumonia that is caused by the yeast-like fungus ''Pneumocystis jirovecii''. ''Pneumocystis'' specimens are commonly found in the lungs of healthy people although it is usually not a cause for disease. However, they are a source of opportunistic infection and can cause lung infections in people with a weak immune system or other predisposing health conditions. PCP is seen in people with HIV/AIDS (who account for 30-40% of PCP cases), those using medications that suppress the immune system, and people with cancer, autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, and chronic lung disease. Pantheon is a fictional organization appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Peter David, the Pantheon first appeared in ''The Incredible Hulk'' vol. 2 #368 (April 1990), and was a large part of that book's supporting cast from issue #379 (March 1991) to issue #426 (February 1995). Agamemnon, a half-human and half- Asgardian god, is born immortal. Although he never physically ages beyond the age of 16, the Pantheon are all his descendants. Stationed in the Mount, their headquarters in a Nevada making up for the damage he's done in his Savage Hulk days. Ryan Wayne White (December 6, 1971 – April 8, 1990) was an American teenager from Kokomo, Indiana, who became a national poster child for HIV/AIDS in the United States after his school barred him from attending classes following a diagnosis of AIDS. As a hemophiliac, he became infected with HIV from a contaminated factor VIII blood treatment and, when diagnosed in December 1984, was given six months to live. Doctors said he posed no risk to other students, as AIDS is not an airborne disease and spreads solely through bodily fluids, but AIDS was poorly understood by the general public at the time. When White tried to return to school, many parents and teachers in Howard County rallied against his attendance due to unwarranted concerns of the disease spreading to other students and staff.
