James Henry Webb Jr. (born February 9, 1946) is an American politician and author. He has served as a United States senator from Virginia, Secretary of the Navy, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Counsel for the United States House Committee on Veterans' Affairs and is a decorated Marine Corps officer. Outside of working in government, Webb is also an Emmy Award winning journalist, filmmaker, and author of ten books. In addition, he taught literature at the United States Naval Academy and was a Fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics. As a member of the Democratic Party, Webb announced on November 19, 2014, that he was forming an exploratory committee to evaluate a run for President of the United States in 2016. James Webb III (born August 19, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for North Idaho College and Boise State University. High school career Webb played for Curtis Baptist High School for two years before transferring to The Oaks Virtual School where he averaged 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists per game while being named team MVP. College career Webb began his college career at North Idaho College where he appeared in all 31 games, including 17 starts. Jimmy Webb (born November 7, 1987) is an American professional rock climber specializing in bouldering. He is one of a handful of climbers who have climbed the boulder grade . Webb was the men's winner of the 2013 Psicobloc Masters Series held in Park City, Utah. He beat several of the world's best climbers to win the event, including Chris Sharma, Daniel Woods, Dave Graham, and Tommy Caldwell. In spring 2014, Webb climbed ''The Understanding'' and ''Practice of the Wild'', both routes, within a week of each other. James "Jimmy" Rogers Webb (born April 13, 1952) is a former American football defensive lineman who played seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Football career Webb grew up playing football in central Mississippi, and played in college for the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team from 1972-1974. By his senior season, he was named an All-American on the defensive line. Webb was selected as the 10th pick of the 1975 NFL Draft. After being drafted, he held out for 43 days before signing with the San Francisco 49ers. He would go on to play over 100 games in the NFL. During his second NFL season, Webb was admitted into the first class of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
