Jim Richardson
James Anthony Richardson (born 16 February 1941, Tottenham, London) is an English jazz and rock bassist and session musician. He was a member of the progressive rock band If. Career An original member of pioneering British jazz-rock band, If (1969–1973), he went on to undertake session and studio work. Around 1975–76 he was also a member of Pip Pyle's The Weightwatchers, with Elton Dean and Keith Tippett and leading his own group, Jim Richardson's Pogo Revisited which also featured Alan Barnes. In the late 1970s, his quartet featured Bobby Wellins. In 1981 he appeared on the Hoagy Carmichael tribute album ''In Hoagland''. In the mid-1980s he reunited with former If band member Dick Morrissey in Morrissey–Mullen. He worked with Dexter Gordon and Chet Baker and was a member of the Jack Honeyborne Quintet with Derek Wadsworth, Vic Ash, and Tony Kinsey. Richardson released the album ''Chapter One'' on 15 October 2009. His album ''2 Plus 2'' was released on 22 April 2010. ...

Derek Wadsworth
Derek Wadsworth (5 February 1939 – 3 December 2008) was an English jazz musician, composer and arranger. Early life Wadsworth was born in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire on 5 February 1939. His first instrument was the cornet and he started playing the trombone at the age of eleven. Later life and career Wadsworth played in bands in Huddersfield in the late 1950s. He was based in London from the early 1960s and played in several bands. He was musical director for singer Dusty Springfield in the mid-1960s, and for a Diana Ross world tour, and held the same position in the musical ''Hair'' for five years from 1968. He first arranged music in 1970, for ''Spring and Port Wine''. As a musician, he toured Europe with Georgie Fame and was with Humphrey Lyttelton into the mid-1970s. Tommy Whittle
Tommy Whittle (13 October 1926 – 13 October 2013) was a British jazz saxophonist. Biography Tommy Whittle was born in Grangemouth, Scotland. He started playing clarinet at the age of 12 before taking up tenor saxophone at 13, guided by Alan Davie. He moved to Chatham, Kent, at 16 and in 1943 started playing in the dance-hall band of Claude Giddins in nearby Gillingham. During the 1940s, Whittle played with Johnny Claes, Lew Stone, Carl Barriteau, and Harry Hayes. In 1946 he joined Ted Heath's band, playing with him until 1952 when he moved on to play in Tony Kinsey's small group at the 51 Club in London. Later in the 1950s he joined Cyril Stapleton's BBC Show Band where he became featured as a soloist in nationwide broadcasts. Helen Shapiro
Helen Kate Shapiro (born 28 September 1946) is a British pop and jazz singer and actress. While still a teenager in the early 1960s, she was one of Britain's most successful female singers. With a voice described by AllMusic as possessing "the maturity and sensibilities of someone far beyond their teen years", Shapiro recorded two 1961 UK chart toppers, " You Don't Know" and "Walkin' Back to Happiness", when she was just fourteen years old. Lloyd Ryan
Lloyd Ryan is English drummer and educator. He has been described as "a specialist in the big band style of drumming". He was also a support act to Buddy Rich at the Lewisham Jazz Festival in 1986. Career Ryan is best known for his work as a session musician and for having taught Phil Collins, one of the world's most famous drummers and best-selling music artists. Collins has credited Ryan with teaching him the basic drum rudiments. Active since the 1960s, he has worked with Tony Christie, Matt Monro, Brotherhood of Man, The New Seekers, Tommy Cooper, Bobby Davro, Gene Vincent and P.J. Proby. Barbara Jay
Barbara Jay (born 14 August 1937) is a British jazz singer. Barbara Jay grew up in a musical family, her father playing trumpet with many of the leading bands of the time. She took naturally to singing and by the 1960s she was working with top British Jazz musicians including Ronnie Scott and Don Lusher. As a solo Jazz singer Jay has shared the billing at Ronnie Scott's club with Horace Silver, Pharoah Sanders, George Chisholm and Dave Holland. More recently she has worked with Jon Hendricks in Cabaret on the Saga Ruby Cruise ship and P&O Oriana. In 1970 she was chosen to sing with Benny Goodman and his orchestra on an extensive European tour and appeared in many major cities, including Paris, Milan, Copenhagen and Zurich. Rachel Gould (born June 25, 1953 in Camden, New Jersey, as ''Rachel Field'') is an American singer and teacher of Modern Jazz. Life and works Gould studied cello and classical singing at Boston University from 1960 till 1971. From 1964 she worked as a backup singer. She only appeared occasionally in the early 1970s, in the jazz clubs on the East Coast. Only after her divorce and moving to Germany did she establish herself as a jazz musician. She formed her own quartet and toured Europe. In 1979, she appeared in London with Chet Baker and played the much acclaimed album "All Blues". Frank Evans (1 October 1930 – 6 February 2007) was an English jazz guitarist Career Evans started playing guitar at the age of eleven. His first recording was with Tubby Hayes and Tony Coe on ''Jazz Tête à Tête'' in 1966.
