Jim Lewis (novelist)
Jim Lewis (born 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, raised in New York and London) is an American novelist. He has published four novels, ''Sister'' (published by Graywolf in 1993), ''Why the Tree Loves the Ax'' (published by Crown in 1998), and ''The King is Dead'' (published by Knopf in 2003). All three have been published in the UK as well, and individually translated into several languages, including French, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Greek. His fourth novel, entitled ''Ghosts of New York,'' was published by WVU Press in April, 2021. In addition to his novels, he has written extensively on the visual arts, for dozens of magazines, from ''Artforum'' and ''Parkett to ''Harper's Bazaar'';'' and contributed to 30 artist monographs, for museums around the world, among them, ''Richard Prince'' at The Whitney Museum of American Art, ''Jeff Koons'' at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, '' Christopher Wool'' at The Los Angeles Museum of Art, and a '' Larry Clark'' retrospective at the ...

Jim Lewis (born December 15, 1946) is a former collegiate and WNBA basketball coach. After completing assistant coaching positions during the 1970s, Lewis was the head coach of the South Lakes High School boys' basketball team in the early 1980s. In collegiate basketball, Lewis obtained 201 wins and 107 losses as the George Mason Patriots women's basketball head coach from 1984 to 1997. He then went to the WNBA as the first head coach of the Washington Mystics for the 1998 season. Between the 2000s and 2010s, Lewis held assistant coaching positions with the Minnesota Lynx, Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks. During this time period, Lewis was the head coach for the Fordham Rams women's basketball team, T.C. Williams High School girls basketball team, and Georgetown Hoyas women's basketball team. James Lewis (26 June 1927 – 21 November 2011) was an English footballer. He was one of the most successful amateur footballers of his generation. Biography Lewis, educated at the Monoux School, Walthamstow, began his football career as a 16-year-old with the famous amateur side Walthamstow Avenue (his father had also played for them) and in three stints with the club scored 423 goals in 522 appearances, mainly as a centre forward. He had briefly left Walthamstow in November 1950 to play for Leyton Orient, but after playing as an amateur in 4 League games he rejected their contract terms. Lewis was a key part of the Walthamstow side which reached the FA Cup fourth round in 1953, beating sides such as Stockport County and Watford and drawing 1–1 with Manchester United at Old Trafford, before losing 5–2 in the replay.
