Jim Jennings (American Football)
James Benton Jennings (November 14, 1933 – October 29, 2007) was a player in the National Football League (NFL). Career Jennings was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the twenty-sixth round of the 1955 NFL Draft and played that season with the team. He played at the collegiate level for the University of Missouri Tigers. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Crystal City High School is a high school in Crystal City, Missouri and the only high school in Crystal City 47 Public Schools. Overview The high school has 161 students with a student to teacher ratio of 12:1. The average ACT score is 20.8. 88% of students graduate high school and 79% go to college after graduating. In 2017, Crystal City High's football field flooded due to being on the flood plains of the Mississippi River.
