Jim Hulton
Jim Hulton (born January 7, 1969) is a Canadian ice hockey coach who is currently the general manager and head coach of the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL. Hulton was previously an assistant coach with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League from 2008 to 2011 and the general manager & head coach of the Tri-City Storm of the USHL from 2013 to 2015. Playing career Junior hockey Kitchener Rangers (1986-1988) Hulton was drafted in the seventh round, 100th overall, by the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League at the 1986 OHL Priority Selection. Hulton appeared in 50 games with the Rangers during the 1986-87 OHL season, 1986-87 season, scoring one goal and four points. He appeared in one playoff game, earning no points. Ontario Hockey League
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; french: Ligue de hockey de l'Ontario (LHO)) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. The league is for players aged 16–19. There are exceptions for overage players of 20 years of age. There are currently 20 teams in the OHL; seventeen in Ontario, two in Michigan, and one in Pennsylvania. The league was founded in 1980 when its predecessor, the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League, formally split away from the Ontario Hockey Association, joining the Canadian Hockey League, Canadian Major Junior Hockey League and its direct affiliation with Hockey Canada. OUAA
Ontario University Athletics (OUA; french: Sports universitaires de l'Ontario) is a regional membership association for Canadian universities which assists in co-ordinating competition between their university level athletic programs and providing contact information, schedules, results, and releases about those programs and events to the public and the media. This is similar to what would be called a college athletic conference in the United States. OUA, which covers Ontario, is one of four such bodies that are members of the country's governing body for university athletics, U Sports. Mississauga IceDogs
The Mississauga IceDogs were a junior ice hockey team in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Ontario Hockey League from 1998 to 2007. A sale relocated the team to St. Catharines, Ontario for the 2007–08 season and they are now called the Niagara IceDogs. History From 1998 to 2002, the IceDogs enjoyed little success, finishing last in the OHL's Central Division every year. During this building phase, the team had six head coaches within the span of 4 years, including the owner, Don Cherry. Mississauga drafted first overall each year, leading to two rookies of the year, including one of the highest touted NHL prospects in Jason Spezza. North Bay Centennials
The North Bay Centennials were a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League, who played from 1982–2002. The team was based in North Bay, Ontario. History The North Bay Centennials or "Cents" as they were popularly known, were named after the 100th anniversary of the railroad in North Bay. The team came to the city in 1982 after the new owners of the Niagara Falls Flyers failed to get a deal for a new arena, and chose to relocate to North Bay which already had an adequate facility in operation. The team can trace its roots back to St. Catharines, Ontario, where it played from 1943–1976, as the Falcons, Teepees and Black Hawks, winning the Memorial Cup in 1954 and 1960. The Centennials won back-to-back Emms division titles in 1986 and 1987. Brampton Capitals
The Brampton Capitals were a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. They were a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. The team was decommissioned by the league, in March 2012. History The team was formed as Nobleton Capitals in 1984 and later as the Etobicoke Capitals. Since moving to Brampton in 1989, the Capitals have been one of the more dominant teams in the OPJHL. With three league titles, the Capitals have never moved on to the Dudley Hewitt Cup. In 2000, the Capitals won their second league title, 4-games-to-2 over the Lindsay Muskies. The Lindsay Muskies are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. History The Muskies started out in the Central Junior C Hockey League. In 1989, the team jumped to the Central Junior "B" and stayed with the league when it became the OPJHL in 1993.
