James Francis Henry (June 26, 1910 – August 15, 1976) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played between 1936 and 1939 for the Boston Red Sox (1936–37) and Philadelphia Phillies (1939). Listed at , , Henry batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Danville, Virginia. In a three-season career, Henry posted a 6–2 record with a 4.79 ERA in 33 appearances, including 11 starts, three complete games, eight games finished, one save, 51 strikeouts, 59 walks, and 114 innings of work. James Edward Henry (born September 4, 1948) is an American diver. Early life Henry was born on September 4, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, but later moved to the Dallas area where he dove for Hillcrest High school. At Indiana University Henry was a diver at Indiana University from 1967 to 1970. While at the university Henry was the top diver for the 67-68, 68-69, and 69–70 years. Henry won four Big 10 championships, five NCAA titles (in multiple events), and ten AAU indoor and outdoor championships. James Henry (born 7 July 1975) is a Scottish former football midfielder. Henry began his career with Montrose. He spent a season and a half at Links Park, before dropping down to the junior leagues with Lochee United. He returned to senior football in the summer of 2000, signing for Clyde. Henry never cemented his place as a first team regular at Clyde, and joined Stenhousemuir in March 2001. Samuel James "Sugar Jim" Henry (October 23, 1920 — January 21, 2004) was a Canadians, Canadian professional ice hockey player. A goaltender, Henry played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New York Rangers, Chicago Black Hawks and the Boston Bruins between 1941 and 1955. Early life Henry was born on October 23, 1920, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to mother Essie Henry. Growing up, he earned the nickname "Sugar" as the neighbours would dip his pacifier into sugar. During the 1930s, he played for the Brandon Elks in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and led them to the Turnbull Cup. Following this, Henry joined the Regina Rangers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he led them to the 1941 Allen Cup. La Salle Explorers Football
The La Salle Explorers football team was an American football team representing La Salle University. The team competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) football league at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision level (formerly I-AA). History The football program existed from 1931 to 1941, until the start of World War II. The war reduced the number of male students at the university, so the football program ended in 1941. It was revived in 1997 and joined the MAAC football league in 1999. At the end of the 2007 Football season, in which the team finished 0–10, it was announced that La Salle would again be discontinuing the Football program. The MAAC football league also dissolved soon thereafter. In November 2009, the university settled a $7.5 million lawsuit with a football player who suffered a severe brain injury in a 2005 game. James M. Henry (born February 22, 1945, in Jefferson City, Tennessee) was minority leader in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1981 to 1986, and a 2002 candidate for the Republican Party nomination for governor of Tennessee, losing the primary election to U.S. Representative Van Hilleary, who in turn lost the subsequent general election to Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen. James O. Henry (October 28, 1896 – July 1, 1997) was an American politician. Personal life On October 28, 1896, Jim Henry was born on a farm in Silver Creek Township, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, near Macedonia, to parents Thomas W. and Charlotte Long Henry. He was educated at Lone Star country school, and while attending Macedonia High School, met Cecil Lorraine Pilling. Henry married Pilling on February 18, 1918, and the couple raised a son and daughter, while also caring for Pilling's three younger brothers. Henry and his wife moved to the Oakland Manor nursing home in Oakland in November 1996. Henry died there on July 1, 1997, aged 100. The 1981 Manitoba general election was held on November 17, 1981 to elect Members of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba, Canada. It was won by the opposition New Democratic Party, which took 34 of 57 seats. The governing Progressive Conservative Party took the remaining 23, while the Manitoba Liberal Party was shut out from the legislature for the only time in its history. The newly formed Progressive Party failed to win any seats. Tom McCauley (1??? – 1865), better known by his alias James Henry or Jim Henry, was one of the many California Gold Rush criminals later a leader of the Mason Henry Gang. Criminal career Tom McCauley, his origins unknown, was one of the criminals in Tuolumne County convicted of murder with his brother Ed McCauley in 1857. Ed was hung on December 11, 1857, and Tom was imprisoned for ten years. He was pardoned in 1861, and as "James Henry" was known to have been in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties in 1861–1862. Later he joined an outlaw gang in the San Joaquin Valley until it was broken up by the law.
