Jimmy Flynn
James P. Flynn (5 February 1934 – 12 September 2022) was an American teamster and film actor. He was a reputed member of the famous Winter Hill Gang. He appeared in films including ''Good Will Hunting'', ''The Cider House Rules (film), The Cider House Rules'' and ''What's the Worst That Could Happen?''. Biography James P. Flynn was born in Somerville, Massachusetts. In 1982, Flynn was wrongly identified as a shooter in the murder of Winter Hill Gang mob associate Brian "Balloonhead" Halloran and attempted murder of Michael Donahue. He was tried and acquitted for the murder in 1986 after being framed by John Connolly (FBI), John Connolly and James J. Bulger. Flynn was a part of Boston's International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 25 labor union where he later ran the organization's movie production crew. Jim Flynn (songwriter)
Jim Flynn (March 24, 1938 – May 8, 2019) was an American country music songwriter. Flyn joined the United States Army and was part of "Operation Gyroscope" deployed to Germany as part of the Cold War efforts. As a civilian, he returned to Lewiston and worked his way through business college. Later he became a high school teacher and sports coach, then selling textbooks to public schools. Flynn began writing story songs on video sharing sites such as YouTube. Early life Flynn was born in Lewiston, Maine to Lawrence and Katherine (McIlroy) Flynn. He is the fourth of five sons. He grew up in Monmouth, Maine and Lewiston, where he was a member of a high school choral group. In 1956, Flynn joined the United States Army. Jim Flynn (footballer)
James Edward Flynn (21 March 1871 – 24 August 1955) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong and Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). A ruckman, after two brief VFA stints, the Benalla-born Flynn started his career in earnest in 1897 where he was part of Geelong's inaugural VFL side. Flynn stayed with the club until the end of the 1902 season when he crossed to Carlton. He was made Carlton captain in 1905, and in 1906 led them to the premiership, defeating Fitzroy in the Grand Final. Due to business commitments in St James, running the local hotel (pub) which still operates today (37 kilometres north of Benalla), he retired from football; however, he returned for the 1907 finals series after captain Fred Elliott was suspended. James P. Flynn (23 June 1894 – 1965) was an Australian rugby union player, a state and national representative centre and half-back. His representative career lasted from 1912 to 1914 and he captained the national side on one occasion in 1913, the youngest player to ever do so. He was later a Queensland state selector.
