Jim Cotter (priest)
James England Cotter (23 August 1942 - 16 April 2014) was an English Anglican priest known for his religious poetry and his advocacy for gay and lesbian Christians. Life and ministry Cotter was born in Stockport in 1942 and was educated at Stockport Grammar School before studying at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, later being ordained priest in the Diocese of Manchester. In 1976 he was a founding member and the first general secretary of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement, or LGCM, later renamed OneBodyOneFaith. In this capacity, he appeared on the TV programme ''The Lord's My Shepherd and He Knows I'm Gay'', speaking openly about his own sexuality and how it related to his spirituality and mental health. Jim Cotter (composer)
Clive James Cotter (born 1948 in Geelong, Australia) is an Australian composer currently based in Canberra, Australia. His career has largely been in music for theater, film, and radio. Cotter began his career as Music Director and resident composer for the Canberra Repertory Theatre and has collaborated extensively with Australian playwright Dorothy Hewett, most notably writing the music for the musical theater piece '' The Man From Mukinupin'' and for the children's play Golden Valley. Cotter also wrote the music for Merlinda Bobis' radio play "Rita's Lullaby", which won the Prix Italia in 1998. Cotter began his musical career playing trumpet in trad-jazz bands in Melbourne as a teenager. He moved to Canberra in the late 1960s with his family and continued performing in this tradition but gradually drifted towards more modern forms of jazz and rock and roll. James H. Cotter (born October 15, 1974 in Kamloops, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Vernon, British Columbia. Career Cotter grew up in Kamloops, playing both curling and baseball as a youth. As a high school student, he won three provincial high school championships (1990, 1991, 1993). He won two provincial junior crowns, in 1990 and in 1995. At the 1990 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, he skipped the B.C. team to a 6-5 round robin record. This put them in a five-way tie for third place. They would be eliminated from the playoffs however, when they lost their first tie-breaker match to Nova Scotia's Brian Fowlie. Five years later in his last year of eligibility, Cotter was back, skipping the B.C. team at the 1995 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. This time, he would finish with a better, 7-4 record, but it was only good enough for fourth place, and they missed the playoffs.
