Jilawatan
Jilawatan (Urdu: جلاوطن, literal English translation: ''exile'') is the debut album by Pakistani rock band, Call. It was released on November 20, 2005 and gained huge popularity. It was the second album produced by the band's guitarist, Xulfi. The album was received with quite a bit of critical acclaim as well, spending over a year on the Vibes Charts. Background The word Jilawatan means being exiled from one's country, state or mind. The album uses the word jilawatan in the context of being exiled from one's own mind. Xulfi said to MTV Moto: The majority of the album is pretty heavy and features the drop-d tuning on guitar. The only exceptions to this are Sab Bhula Kai, Nishaan and Bichar Kai Bhee. Sab Bhula Kai and Bichar Kai Bhee feature guitars with the DADGAD (low to high) tuning whilst Nishaan's guitars feature the traditional EADGBE tuning. Call (Pakistani Band)
Call () is a Pakistani rock band from Lahore, Pakistan. The current line-up was formed in 2002, the group consists of Junaid Khan (lead vocalist), Zulfiqar J. Khan (lead guitar, producer) and Muhammad Sultan Raja (rhythm guitar). Call's musical style has remained predominately alternative rock, with some commercial mainstream ballads centered on Junaid's powerful expressive vocals, melancholic soundscapes, intricate guitar riffs and iconic drum beats. Their lyrics, often embellished with imagery, focus on themes such as identity, patriotism and longing. Junaid Khan (actor)
Junaid Khan (born as Junaid Khan Niazi 2 November 1981) is a Pakistani actor, producer and singer-songwriter. Since the early 2000s he's the lead vocalist of the Lahore-based rock band Call, which has released two commercially successful albums, ''Jilawatan'' and ''Dhoom''. As an actor he's best known for his roles in serials ''Sun Yaara'' (2017), ''Ishq Tamasha'' (2018) and '' Yaariyan'' (2019), . He rose to fame by portraying the sophisticated and sober character of Dr. Talal Sikandar in the 2017 hit drama ''Sun Yaara'' on Ary Digital. ''Dhoom'' (Urdu: دھوم, literal English translation: "blast") is the second studio album by the Pakistani rock band Call, released in January 2011. The album included the singles "Laree Chootee" (from ''Ek Chalis Ki Last Local''), "Yeh Pal" (from '' Aasma: The Sky Is the Limit'') and "Dharkay Jiya" (from ''Aloo Chaat'') which featured in several Bollywood movies as soundtracks. The album also included the patriotic songs "Humse Hai Ye Zamana" and "Aasmaan". Background In 2007, although Call had not yet announced the release of their second album, the band had released several songs on their fan site. Radio Mirchi (also known as 98.3 Mirchi) is a nationwide network of private FM radio stations in India. Backing Vocals
A backing vocalist is a singer who provides vocal harmony with the lead vocalist or other backing vocalists.
