Jianghan Plain Railway
The Jianghan Plain railway is a freight-only railway line in the Jianghan Plain, China. History The line opened on 21 December 2018. Route The line splits from the Changjiangbu–Jingmen railway east of Tianmen railway station. At Tianmen East railway station, the line splits. One branch heads west to Qianjiang North railway station, while the other heads east to Xiantao East railway station. It comprises a total of of track. Jianghan Plain
Jianghan Plain (; pinyin: Jiānghàn Píngyuán), named for the confluence of the Yangtze ('Jiang') and Han ('han') rivers, is an alluvial plain located in the middle and south of Hubei, China. Wuhan, the most populous city in Central China, is located on the plain. It shares the border with Dongtinghu Plain. It has an area of more than 30 thousands square kilometers. The region was once a large wetland, but was gradually colonized by settlers beginning in the Neolithic period. Changjiangbu–Jingmen Railway
The Changjiangbu–Jingmen railway () is a railway line that connects the Jiaozuo–Liuzhou railway at Jingmen with the Hankou–Danjiangkou railway at Xiaxindian. It is long. Construction on the line began in November 1998. Passenger service was introduced in 2005. Electrification of the line was completed in 2012. Tianmen Railway Station
Tianmen () is a sub-prefecture-level city (sometimes considered a county-level city) in central Hubei Province, China. It is on the Jianghan Plain, on the west side of Wuhan (the biggest city of Central China, as well as the capital of Hubei) and the east of Jingzhou (a famous city in Chinese history). Formerly known as Jingling (), it was renamed to Tianmen in 1726 during the Qing dynasty.
