Ji (Korean Name)
Ji, also spelled Jee, Chi, or Chee, is a Korean family name, as well as a popular element in Korean given names. The meaning differs based on the hanja used to write it. Family name As a family name, Ji may be written with either of two hanja, one meaning "wisdom" (), and the other meaning "pond" (). Each has one ''bon-gwan'': for the family name meaning "wisdom", Pongju Village, Pongsan County, North Hwanghae in what is today North Korea, and for the family name meaning "pond", Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do in what is today South Korea. The 2000 South Korean census found 147,572 people with this family name. In a study by the National Institute of the Korean Language based on 2007 application data for South Korean passports, it was found that 79.5% of people with this surname spelled it in Latin letters as Ji in their passports. Ji Eun-hee
Ji Eun-hee (; ; born 13 May 1986 in Gapyeong, South Korea), also known as Eun-Hee Ji, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She is also a member of the South Korean KLPGA. LPGA career Ji joined the LPGA Tour in 2007 and recorded two top-10 finishes in just four events played, including runner-up at the Hana Bank-KOLON Championship. She made her first appearance in a major championship at the 2007 Women's British Open and finished in 5th place. In 2008, Ji claimed her first LPGA win at the Wegmans LPGA, with a come-from-behind, two-stroke victory over Norwegian star Suzann Pettersen. Ji Hyun-woo (born Joo Hyung-tae on 29 November 1984) is a South Korean actor and musician. He was formerly the lead guitarist for Korean indie rock band and is best known for his leading roles in the cable TV series '' Queen and I'' (2012) and KBS2 weekend drama ''Young Lady and Gentleman'' (2021-22). Ji Young-jun
Ji Young-jun (born 15 October 1981 in Seoul) is a South Korean long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. His personal best times are 13:49.99 minutes in the 5000 metres, achieved in June 2006 in Shibetsu; 29:42.38 minutes in the 10,000 metres, achieved in June 2002 in Uijeongbu; and 2:08:30 hours in the marathon, achieved in April 2009 in Daegu. He finished seventeenth at the 2004 Olympic Games, and seventh at the 2006 Asian Games. He also competed at the 2003 and 2009 World Championships; on the latter occasion he did not finish the race. After a few years off his top form, he re-established himself at the 2009 Daegu Marathon by knocking thirteen seconds off his best to win the race in a time of 2:08:30. |

Chi In-jin (, born July 18, 1973, in Seoul) is a South Korean former professional boxer who competed from 1991 to 1996. He has held the WBC featherweight title twice between 2004 and 2007. Career Boxing Chi made his debut as a professional boxer on November 20, 1991. After losing his pro debut, he went unbeaten in his next 24 bouts. He challenged WBC Featherweight Title holder Erik Morales on July 28, 2001, but lost a unanimous decision. On October 18, 2003, the brawling Chi got another shot at the vacant WBC featherweight title against Michael Brodie, but came up short of the title with a draw. In the rematch the following year, he knocked out Brodie in the 7th round. After defending the title twice, he lost the belt to Takashi Koshimoto in 2006 via split decision.
