Jhojan Julio
Jhojan Esmaides Julio Palacios (born 11 February 1998) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for LDU Quito. Mainly an attacking midfielder, he can also play as a winger. Club career LDU Quito Born in Quito, Julio joined LDU Quito's youth setup in September 2010, aged 12. After impressing with the under-18 squad, he made his first team – and Serie A – debut on 25 June 2016, starting in a 0–0 away draw against Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Julio scored his first senior goals on 22 October 2017, netting a brace in a 5–2 home success over Delfín. He established himself as a regular starter from the 2018 season onwards, and renewed his contract until 2022 on 4 April of that year. The Ecuadorian Football Federation ( es, Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol or ) is the governing body of football in Ecuador. Its headquarters are in Quito, and it organizes the country's various football competitions and oversees the Ecuador national team. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament
The 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament was the 13th edition of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted football tournament organised by the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the South American region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. In August 2018, CONMEBOL announced the return of the South American Pre-Olympic Tournament in 2020 with Colombia as the host country, after a 16-year absence. The last edition of this competition had been held in Chile in 2004. From the 2008 through the 2016 Summer Olympics, the two teams from South America were determined by the South American Youth Football Championship, always held in the previous year.
