Jhanji
Jhanji is a small semi-rural area situated in Sivasagar and Jorhat districts. The river Jhanji River divides these two districts. History The river Jhanji is famous from the time of Ahom kingdom in Assam. It physically divides Jorhat and Sivasagar districts of Assam.The word Jhanji is an Assamese compound word. Bihu
Bihu is a set of three important Assamese festivals in the Indian state of Assam – 'Rongali' or 'Bohag Bihu' observed in April, 'Kongali' or 'Kati Bihu' observed in October, and 'Bhogali' or 'Magh Bihu' observed in January.
