Jhaniele Fowler-Reid
Jhaniele Fowler (formerly known as Jhaniele Fowler-Reid; born 21 July 1989) is a professional Jamaican netball player and as of 2018 a member of the West Coast Fever in the Suncorp Super Netball League. Fowler also plays domestic netball in Jamaica for the Waulgrovians club, and has been a member of the Jamaica national netball team (the Sunshine Girls) since 2010. Fowler has competed at three World Netball Series tournaments with the Jamaica national team, winning a bronze medal in 2010. She has also competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore. In 2011, Fowler was signed to play in the Australasian ANZ Championship with Australian team, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, on a two-year contract. Her contract was contingent on the Thunderbirds' current import, fellow Jamaican shooter Carla Borrego, on gaining Australian citizenship, and allowing the team's import spot for Fowler. Southern Steel
Southern Steel are a New Zealand netball team based in Invercargill. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Since 2017 they have represented Netball South in the ANZ Premiership. Netball South is the governing body that represents Southland and Otago. In 2017 they won their first premiership when they were the inaugural ANZ Premiership winners. In 2018 they won their second premiership when they retained the title. In 2017 Steel were the inaugural winners of the Netball New Zealand Super Club tournament. History Formation Southern Steel was formed in 2007. The new team was effectively a merger of the two former National Bank Cup teams, Southern Sting and Otago Rebels. 2018 Suncorp Super Netball Season
The 2018 Suncorp Super Netball season was the second season of the premier Netball in Australia, netball league in Australia. The season began on 28 April and concluded with the Grand Final on 26 August 2018. The start of the season was delayed to late April due to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which was held earlier that month on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast. The fixtures for the season were released on 11 October 2017.
