Jesus On Extasy
Jesus on Extasy (shortcut: JoE) was an electronic rock band from Essen, Germany, formed in 2005. The band was formed in 2005 by the cousins Dorian Deveraux and Chai Deveraux. After their first big show at one of the biggest festivals in Europe ''Bochum-Total Festival'' the band signed to Drakkar Entertainment. Subsequently, the band supported L'Âme Immortelle for two dates during their 2006 tour. History In 2007 Ophelia Dax, Alicia Vayne and BJ joined Jesus on Extasy. JoE released their first full-length studio album ''Holy Beauty'' in March 2007. The album contains a remix of the song ''Assassinate Me'' by Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM. The band toured in support of Letzte Instanz, and later Entwine. During 2007 the band also collaborated with label-mates Xandria on a remix of their single ''Sisters of the Light''. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. The genre was made more accessible to mainstream audiences in the 1990s with the aid of acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, both of which have released platinum-selling records. Xandria
Xandria is a German symphonic metal band founded by Marco Heubaum in 1994. Originally a project, Heubaum later restarted the project as a band in 1999, and has gone through various lineup changes. The German vocalist Lisa Middelhauve joined for the debut album, co-writing both music and lyrics for the band until her departure in 2008. Middelhauve reunited briefly with the band in 2010 following the departure of the band's second vocalist Kerstin Bischof, but left again shortly after. Manuela Kraller joined the band as the new vocalist in 2010. The band released ''Neverworld's End'' in 2012, which was the only album to feature Kraller as she would depart in 2013. Dianne van Giersbergen was later announced as her replacement, and would record two studio albums with Xandria: ''Sacrificium (Xandria album), Sacrificium'' and ''Theater of Dimensions''. ''No Gods'' is the debut full-length studio album by British rock band Sharks which was released by Rise Records on 19 March 2012 in the UK and on 20 March 2012 in the US. The album was recorded in Baltimore, MD, from September to early October 2011 and was produced by Brian McTernan. The band recorded a total of 14 tracks. Tony Corrales, formerly of The Exposed, having joined Sharks on a permanent basis, played bass on three songs (James Mattock played bass on all other tracks). The album features 11 songs, while the Japanese edition additionally features three bonus tracks, all of which are cover songs. "Arcane Effigies", the first single taken from ''No Gods'', premiered on BBC Radio 1 on 3 January 2012. The video for 'Arcane Effigies' premiered on 14 February 2012. ''Beloved Enemy'' is a 1936 American drama film directed by H.C. Potter and starring Merle Oberon, Brian Aherne, and David Niven. It was loosely based on the life of Michael Collins. Plot During the Irish War of Independence in 1921, Irish rebel leader Dennis Riordan (Aherne) and English aristocrat Helen Drummond (Oberon) meet and fall in love. Riordan is pursued, however, by British army officer Captain Preston (Niven). The original film ended with Riordan getting shot and killed, but did not do well at the box office. A happier ending was also filmed which has Riordan being shot but surviving; all subsequent versions have. The original cut has since been lost.
