Jessy Keeffe
Jessy Keeffe (born 17 July 1996) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for Brisbane in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She was playing for Yeronga South Brisbane in the AFL Queensland Women's League (QWAFL) when she was drafted by with the 48th and final pick in the 2017 AFL Women's draft. After not playing a game in her first AFLW season in 2018, she was delisted by Brisbane. However, they re-signed her as a free agent before the 2019 season, and she made her AFLW debut in the Lions' round 4 game against at Whitten Oval on 23 February 2019. At the end of the 2021 season, Keeffe announced her retirement after 11 games with the Lions, citing mental health challenges. Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. Lachlan Keeffe (born 14 April 1990) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Collingwood Football Club from 2009 to 2017. Early life Keeffe was born and raised in Gympie, Queensland, and spent some time as a boarder at Marist College Ashgrove and grew up playing soccer, playing under 17 as a soccer midfielder he was first scouted by Collingwood. AFL Career In 2008, Keeffe was signed by the Collingwood Football Club as an unregistered player and was later drafted with pick number 69 in the 2009 Rookie Draft.
