Jessica Ellen Cornish (born 27 March 1988), known professionally as Jessie J, is an English singer. Born and raised in London, she began her career on stage, aged 11, with a role in the West End musical '' Whistle Down the Wind''. She studied at the BRIT School before signing with Gut Records and striking a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. After signing with Republic Records, Jessie J came to prominence following the release of her debut single, " Do It Like a Dude". Her following single, " Price Tag", topped the charts in nineteen countries including the UK and was followed by the release of her debut album, '' Who You Are'' (2011), which peaked at number two in the UK. Other singles from the album included " Nobody's Perfect", " Who You Are", " Domino" and "Laserlight", all of which peaked within the top ten on the UK Singles Chart, making Jessie J the first British female artist to have six top-ten singles from a sole studio album. English singer Jessie J has released five studio albums, one extended play (which was also her first live album), nineteen singles (including four as a featured artist), twenty-one music videos, and five promotional singles. Jessie J released her debut single, " Do It like a Dude", in the United Kingdom in November 2010, where it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached number eight in New Zealand. Her follow-up single, "Price Tag", which featured B.o.B, was released in late January 2011, spending two weeks at number-one in the UK; selling over a million copies as of January 2012. ''Alive'' is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Jessie J. It was released on 23 September 2013 through Lava Music and Universal Republic. American rap artist Becky G, singer Brandy Norwood, American hip-hop artist Big Sean and British grime artist Dizzee Rascal all make guest appearances on the album. The closing ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympics, also known as A Symphony of British Music, was held on 12 August 2012 in the Olympic Stadium, London. The chief guest was Prince Harry of Wales representing Queen Elizabeth II. The closing ceremony was created by Kim Gavin, Es Devlin, Stephen Daldry, David Arnold and Mark Fisher. The worldwide broadcast began at 21:00 BST (UTC+1) and finished on 13 August 2012 at 00:11, lasting three hours and eleven minutes. The Diamond Jubilee Concert was a British music concert and celebration held outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall in London on 4 June 2012. The concert was organised by Take That singer-songwriter Gary Barlow and was part of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The Diamond Jubilee Concert followed two concerts held at the palace for the Queen's Golden Jubilee a decade earlier – the classical themed Prom at the Palace and the pop/rock themed Party at the Palace, followed by the Platinum Party at the Palace for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
