Jessie Govan
Jessie J. Govan (born July 25, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. He also played college basketball for the Georgetown Hoyas. High school career Govan attended St. Mary's High School before transferring to Wings Academy, playing under coach Billy Turnage. As a senior, Govan led Wings to the Bronx borough championship and PSAL Championship game. He was a McDonald's All American nominee. Rated 44th in his class by Scout.com, Govan signed with Georgetown over offers from UConn, Stanford, Seton Hall, NC State, Syracuse and Miami (Fla.). College career Govan was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and averaged 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. As a sophomore, Govan averaged 10.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. UConn Huskies Men's Basketball
The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut. They currently play in the Big East Conference (Big East) and are coached by Dan Hurley. Portsmouth Invitational Tournament
The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, (PIT), is the oldest amateur basketball tournament in the United States and the only postseason camp restricted to college basketball seniors. The Portsmouth Invitational is the first of two NBA pre-draft camps, the other being the Orlando pre-draft camp. In 2019, SB Ballard construction was the lead sponsor of the uniforms as they began to expand into building arenas around the country. It was announced on March 14, 2020, the 68 annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Providence Friars Men's Basketball
The Providence Friars men's basketball team represents Providence College in NCAA Division I competition. They were a founding member of the original Big East Conference from 1979 until 2013, and are now a member of the current Big East Conference. The Big East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that competes in NCAA Division I in ten men's sports and twelve women's sports. Headquartered in New York City, the eleven full-member schools are primarily located in Northeast and Midwest metropolitan areas. Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team is the college basketball team of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The University of Miami men's basketball team was formed in 1926, but the program was later dropped by the university in 1971.
