Jessie Armstead
Jessie Willard Armstead (born October 26, 1970) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) who played for eleven seasons with the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins between 1993 and 2003. He played college football at the University of Miami. High school career Armstead attended David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas, where he was coached by Freddie James. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Joe Burch (born ) is a former American football offensive and defensive lineman. Early years Burch prepped at David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas, where he won the 1988 5A Texas state championship (vacated due to ineligible player) alongside Jessie Armstead and Clifton Abraham. College career He went on to play at Texas Southern University, where he was named second-team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference during his sophomore and junior year. Clifton Eugene Abraham, Jr. (born December 9, 1971) is a former American and Canadian football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. He played college football for Florida State University, and was recognized as an All-American. He played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers of the NFL. Freddie James
Freddie James is a former American football coach. He played under Billy Nicks at Prairie View A&M in the late 1950s, before working in a steel plant for a couple of years, then as a physical therapist in Houston, Texas. His former coach Nicks later recommended him for high school football coaching. In 1982 James became head coach at David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas. In his first year, Carter reached the 5A state semifinals. In 1988, Carter won the title after one of the most dominant seasons in Texas high school football, but the title was later forfeited because of eligibility infringements. After a ban from the state playoffs in 1989, because James had played an ineligible player, Carter reached the state semis again in 1990.
