''Jessie'' is an American 1984 ABC television police drama series starring Lindsay Wagner as a psychiatrist. It originated as a 1984 television movie. The series was based in part on the book "Psychologist with a Gun". Police Procedural
The police show, or police crime drama, is a subgenre of procedural drama and detective fiction that emphasizes the investigative procedure of a police officer or department as the protagonist(s), as contrasted with other genres that focus on either a private detective, an amateur investigator or the characters who are the targets of investigations. Judith Eva Barsi (June 6, 1978 – July 25, 1988) was an American child actress. She began her career in television, making appearances in commercials and television series, as well as the 1987 film '' Jaws: The Revenge''.
