Jessica Weller (born 18 October 1983 in Wissen (Sieg)) is a German politician ( CDU). She has been a member of the Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate. She will no longer be a member of the Landtag elected in 2021 as of May 2021. Life and career Weller passed her general university entrance qualification in 2003 at the Kopernikus-Gymnasium in Wissen. After completing a dual programme of studies to become a "Diplom-Verwaltungswirtin (FH)" (a German degree in public administration) at the Cologne university of applied sciences in public administration, she was a placement officer at the Federal Employment Agencie's local branch in Betzdorf from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2019, she was employed as a clerk at the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Cologne. Jessica Weller is Catholic. Altenkirchen () is a district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the North Rhine-Westphalian districts Rhein-Sieg, Oberbergischer Kreis, Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein, and the districts of Westerwaldkreis and Neuwied. History The history of the district is linked with the Westerwald region. The district was established in 1816 by the Prussian administration. It combined the county of Wildenburg and the two counties of Sayn. The former had been part of Berg, the latter ones had belonged to the duchy of Nassau. 2021 Rhineland-Palatinate State Election
The 2021 Rhineland-Palatinate state election was held on 14 March 2021 to elect the 18th Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate. The outgoing government was a "traffic light coalition" of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Free Democratic Party (FDP), and The Greens led by Minister-President Malu Dreyer. The SPD won an unexpectedly clear plurality of 35.7% of votes cast, less than one percentage point lower than their 2016 result. As well as being a low mountain range, the Westerwald is also a natural region in the system of natural regional division of Germany. Within that it is a major unit group with the number "32". According to this system the major unit group of the Westerwald belongs to the basement plate (''Grundgebirgsschollenland''), which describes the type of mountain-building process by which it was formed.
