Jesse Tawhiao-Wardlaw (born 13 January 2000 in New Zealand), usually known as Jesse Wardlaw, is an Australian rules footballer playing for Brisbane in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Wardlaw plays as a key forward and led the Brisbane Lions goalkicking in 2020, her break-out season as a power forward came in 2022, by mid-season Seven she led the competition's goalkicking, averaging more than 2 goals a game, the highest in the league.she has the highest goal kicking for season 7 of the NAB AFLW. Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. The Lions are one of the most successful AFL club of the 2000s, appearing in four consecutive Grand Finals from 2001 to 2004 and winning three premierships ( 2001, 2002, 2003). 2021 AFL Women's Season
The 2021 AFL Women's season was the fifth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured fourteen clubs, ran from 28 January until 17 April, and comprised a 9-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top six clubs. The premiership was won by the for the first time, after it defeated by 18 points in the AFL Women's Grand Final. Format The previous two AFLW seasons were formatted with the assistance of conferences, which split the league's clubs into two ranking tables. The AFL elected to remove the conferences for the 2021 season and revert to a single ladder.
