Jesse Smith (musician)
Jesse Smith is an American musician, best known for his work as the original drummer of Christian metal band Zao. After leaving Zao, he has had multiple other bands/projects, including Gods, My Own Halo, Jesse Smith & the Holy Ghost, and Serpent Servant Slave. History In 1993, Jesse Smith was recruited by friends Roy Goudy, Mic Cox and Eric Reeder to play drums in their newly formed band, which later was named Zao. In 1995, Zao recorded their first album, '' All Else Failed'', with new singer Shawn Jonas (who would later form Symphony in Peril). In 1996, ''The Splinter Shards the Birth of Separation'' was released with the line-up of Roy Goudy, Mic Cox and Shawn Jonas. In 1997, all of the band members except for Smith quit Zao following the 1997 Cornerstone festival and a couple of shows they played on the way back home.. Spitfire (US Band)
Spitfire is an American metalcore band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. They first formed in the late 1990s and were previously signed to Goodfellow Records. History Originally, the band featured vocalist and guitarist Matt Beck, drummer Chris Raines, and bassist Jimmy Reeves. With this lineup, they released an EP called ''Straining Towards What's To Come'' on 2Jake Records and ''The Dead Next Door'' on Solid State Records in 1999. For a brief time, Beck left the band and was replaced by Randy Vanderbilt ( Scarlet) on guitar and Jon Spencer (ex-Scarlet) on vocals. With this new vocalist and guitarist, Spitfire released a second EP, called ''The Slideshow Whiplash'', for Goodfellow Records. The band broke up in 2002. Norma Jean (formerly known as Luti-Kriss) is an American metalcore band from Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Since their inception in 1997, numerous lineup changes have left the band with no original members. Society's Finest
Society's Finest is a metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. Their first full-length album, '' The Journey...So Far'', was released on Solid State Records in May 2000. Due to member changes and personal matters the band took a break from touring and recording to focus on their personal lives. During this hiatus, vocalist Josh Ashworth toured with the metalcore band Zao. When re-forming in 2004, the band joined Hand of Hope Records. With this label, they released '' Love, Murder, and a Three Letter Word'' in mid-2004.
