Jesse Sanders
Jesse Sanders (born June 5, 1989) is an American former professional basketball player. Sanders is known for his decorated college career for Liberty University, where he was the first NCAA Division I player to record a triple-double in each of his four varsity seasons. College career At Liberty, Sanders was a four-year starter at point guard. For his career, he scored 1,235 points (9.7 per game). He also graduated as the school's all-time assist leader with 726. In 2011, Sanders was named the Big South Conference Player of the Year and an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press. In the 2011–12 season, his 8.0 assists per game was the third-highest mark in the nation. Aurora Basket Jesi is an Italian professional basketball club based in Jesi. It plays in the second division Serie A2 as of the 2015-16 season. History In 1965, Gianni Rossetti (a television journalist for RAI), Carlo Barchiesi (current president) and Primo Novelli (then responsible for the club's junior sides) helped form Aurora Basket Jesi along with president Mario Gherardi. At the time, Springoil had been strongest side of Jesi, flirting with a promotion to the top-tier, but it disappeared due to financial difficulties. Roberto Vigo suggested to Gianni Rossetti that a basketball team should be set up within the Aurora Group. The team started play during the 1965-66 season in the highest regional division. Samuel David Young (born June 1, 1985) is an American/Lebanese former professional basketball player for Homenetmen Beirut of the Lebanese Basketball League and the Lebanese National Basketball Team. He played college basketball at the University of Pittsburgh. Early years The eldest of five children, Young was born in Washington, D.C. to single mother Marquet Craig, then 14 years old. She supported her family by working as a cable TV installer for Comcast, and moved the family nine times. The Liberty Flames and Lady Flames are the athletics teams of Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. They are a member of the NCAA Division I level in 20 sports. LU is a member of the ASUN Conference for most sports. Two sports that are not sponsored by the ASUN are housed elsewhere. Women's swimming competes in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads directly to a score by field goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the basket.
